Lucerne 4-6

Apparently Marriott only has hotels in Zurich and Lucerne, but it's ok bc they were pretty nice with an employee discount!! It took us a bit of walking around getting lost before we found the renaissance but we found it and put our bags up and went and did a boat tour! Idk what lake we were in but it was gorgeous. We got off at a stop and took a very old train up the side of a mountain and hiked around for a bit I showed my mom what paragliding looked like because some people were up there doing it. She yelled at me again for going. The boat tour took a good 5 or 6 hours and we were all still tired so we ate some dinner and passed out.

On the 5th we went walking through the city. There also wasn't a whole lot here that interested us but we found this statue of a lion with a spear in its side. It's supposed to represent all of the Swiss soldiers killed in a war but I forget which one. Next to it was the glacier garden which was super cool. Some guy found this while he was digging for a basement or cellar or something. It shows all of these different formations from having a glacier sitting where the city is now. This is also the place where the hall of mirrors is. It's sort of like a maze and there are mirrors everywhere so you have to hold out you arms or else you'll run into yourself or other people! It was a lot of fun!
