My birthday!!!!!

It was such a fun day! We went to a lake near here and it had a slide! Some of Ashley's army friends were down there too do it was really funny to see these big tough guys racing down a slide. The first time Ashley went down somehow his wedding ring came off but thank goodness some lady found it and gave it back. Aubrey had a lot of fun even tho she didn't really like the sand. I made a little bridge out of my shirt so she could crawl over to me. They had some volleyball nets set up so we had an intense game against some other group of guys. Of course we stomped them. I guess one of the guys that was there wasn't supposed to leave base but he did and some guy who is above them came over and made them all leave and now they are in trouble. Sucks for them but I think they should have known better. We stayed a while longer after they left.

When we got back to base we got ready and went to the event thing they had on base. I had my first bratwurst which was really good and then continued drinking. There were a few guys from Texas so we of course had to talk about home. One of the guys was wayyyy too drunk and definitely had a man crush on Ashley that I had to hear about for much too long. It was a lot of fun tho I got to meet one of carries bosses. He's the garrison commander of the base and was so nice. When it was time for the fireworks we found a spot on a hill. Aubrey loved the fireworks! She was so excited to see them. They only lasted about 15min but they were pretty good. The music was like super super patriotic even more so than what we normally hear. Which makes sense bc im on an army base but the music wasn't very upbeat. But it was still good and I love fireworks on my bday! I even was nice enough to say that it was 4th of July and not just my bday. I figured I'd offend someone if I said my bday was more important!
